Four people injured in collision

Three people had to be taken to hospital in Regina due to injuries they sustained in a two-vehicle collision on Kensington Avenue on Saturday night. Estevan Police Service members received a call of the accident just after 10 p.m.

Three people were taken to hospital in Regina, and a fourth person was also injured, following an accident on Kensington Avenue on Saturday night.

Three people had to be taken to hospital in Regina due to injuries they sustained in a two-vehicle collision on Kensington Avenue on Saturday night.

Estevan Police Service members received a call of the accident just after 10 p.m. A northbound car entered the southbound lane and struck a southbound taxi just north of the northern railway crossing. 

The lone occupant of the northbound vehicle was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital by ambulance, and later airlifted by the Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society helicopter to the Regina General Hospital.

The two passengers in the taxi were transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital via ambulance. They were later transported via ambulance to the Regina General Hospital.

According to Sgt. Kevin Reed with the Estevan Police Service, all three people taken to hospital in Regina were in stable condition as of Monday morning. 

The driver of the taxi was transported to St. Joseph’s by ambulance and released from care several hours later.  

The matter is still under investigation. Charges had not been laid as of Monday afternoon, but they are pending in the case.
