The Indian New Year and Harvest, or Vaisakhi Festival, is being celebrated by local residents of Indian heritage on Saturday, April 14.
In celebration of this festival, Prairie Pita in downtown Weyburn is offering a free vegetarian meal to everyone who comes in, and they are taking donations for the Humboldt Broncos and STARS air ambulance.
The meal, which is also gluten-free, will be offered free of charge from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. The meal includes dal (lentils) with rice, salad, Pakoras (veggie snack) and Indian Masala tea.
There are no obligations to donate, but any donations given will be split 50-50 between the Humboldt Broncos and the STARS air ambulance.
