A gala dinner will be hosted by the Soo Line Historical Museum on Friday, Oct. 19, in the upstairs of the Weyburn Royal Canadian Legion Hall. This is the third annual gala dinner for the museum.
A gala dinner will be hosted by the Soo Line Historical Museum on Friday, Oct. 19, in the upstairs of the Weyburn Royal Canadian Legion Hall.
This is the third annual gala dinner for the museum. The money raised will go towards the necessary upkeep of the museum and its exhibits.
The evening will start at 6 p.m. with cocktails, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Entertainment during the evening includes Acapella Attitude, a barbershop quartet from Regina, local singer Lexie Tytlandsvik, and young singer Onello Bahingawan.
There will also be a silent auction, the raffle draw for the $1,000 Co-op gift card, and the final grand prize draw for the "Hunt For History" geocaching contest that was held by the museum during the summer.
Tickets are $50 each and can be reserved by calling the museum. Tickets can be picked up either at the museum or at Superior Office Products.
Winter office hours at the museum will be Monday to Friday, from 1 to 5 p.m. A new road to the museum was recently constructed, and the plans are to pave this road.
