A home for a family would be a nice Christmas gift and Habitat for Humanity is hopeful to give this gift.

Habitat for Humanity is holding a public Home Ownership Information session on Wednesday, November 13 at Captain's Hall at 7 p.m. Those interested must be in attendance and pre-registration is required by calling 306-842-2216.

The information session will address the qualifications needed for the home application process.

"Families don't have to be from Weyburn. They can be from surrounding areas such as Radville, Yellow Grass and Midale," said Bailey.

The committee is in the process of purchasing a new location for the local Habitat for Humanity house, which will now be located in the centre of the city, instead of the previous location of Riverwood.

"We will tear down the existing house and build new. We're hoping to select a family before Christmas. That's our target. It would be quite the Christmas gift for a family," said Bailey.
