A handgun was seized at the North Portal border crossing earlier this month.
According to a tweet from the Canada Border Services Agency, new recruits at North Portal seized the loaded handgun on July 8.
The traveller was arrested, issued a $1,000 penalty for failing to declare, and returned to the U.S.
