WHITEWOOD — Highway 1 in the Whitewood area is open once again.
According to the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure's Highway Hotline, the highway was closed near Whitewood July 3 for a culvert replacement. It was open again by the morning of July 23.
Other highways in the southern part of the province are still closed. According to the Highway Hotline, Highway 35 has been closed from Weyburn to 3.2 kilometres north of the city. Motorists are asked to follow local signage and detours. The highways is slated to reopen Sept. 30.
Highway 13 from one kilometre north of Assiniboia to one kilometre east of the community is shut down for concrete curbing and sidewalk work through the town. A detour is in place.
Also in the Assiniboia area, Highway 2 is closed in both directions from Leeville Street to Highway 13. All lanes are closed.
Both closures in the Assiniboia area are slated to continue until July 31.
