Holy Family RCSSD #140 will join together with all Catholic School Divisions within the Province of Saskatchewan to celebrate Catholic Education Week like never before. The remote learning environment we are living in during COVID-19 times will be filled with the theme, “Igniting Hope, during the week of May 17-24, 2020.

Subthemes for the week include:

● Our Hope in Christ

● The Hope Within Us

● The Hope Among Us

● Hope for the World

● A Future Full of Hope

Currently, materials are being developed for sharing via the various platforms that schools are using to engage students, families and communities including video conferencing, social media, email and websites.

The materials will include daily prayer and reflection as well as social media posts. This year, like no other in recent history, a very special celebration of World Catholic Education day will occur.

On Thursday, May 21, 2020, a liturgy led by Archbishop Donald Bolen of the Archdiocese of Regina will be livestreamed at 11 a.m. and made available to all those interested in viewing.

This includes families registered with Holy Family, members of parish communities and anyone else interested. The event will be recorded and available for viewing at another time if families are unable to join at the live airing time.

Holy Family RCSSD #140 looks forward to continuing the rich tradition of joining with our neighbours and friends across the province to celebrate Catholic Education in Saskatchewan.
