Sierra Wowk and Nicole Warren spend some time with Bear and Ted, two of the cats at the Weyburn Humane Society, while volunteering at the shelter last week. The Humane Society has the mission to provide shelter and care for stray or homeless pets in Weyburn and area, until they can be reunited with their owners or adopted to a new home. Many of their animals are awaiting their "fur-ever" homes, and interested residents are welcome to stop by the Humane Society for more information on how to become an owner. The animal shelter is open from 1 to 7 p.m. every day, and are located on 16th Street N.E. by the Weyburn Fire Hall.
