The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) warned of an emergent situation in the Southwest and West Central areas of Saskatchewan.
Aggressive contact tracing and testing helped the SHA to identify additional individuals with COVID-19 in the Southwest and West Central regions.
Some of the individuals tested were linked to known chains of transmission, but some had no known sources for their infections.
This overall increased level of COVID-19 activity meant an increased risk of transmission to the public in certain parts of southern and central Saskatchewan as of July 15.
