The people at Telemiracle want to hear your story.
A seven-month campaign was launched on Sept. 15 by the Kinsmen Foundation and Telemiracle entitled My Telemiracle Story.com to collect stories and memories about Telemiracle from the people of Saskatchewan.
Telemiracle has become a fixture in Saskatchewan and this March it will mark the 40th airing of the annual telethon.
“It is hard to go anywhere in Saskatchewan without hearing a story or memory somebody has about Telemiracle,” said Jody Diakow, executive director for the Kinsmen Foundation. “We want to get those stories in one place and share them with everyone.”
The website, My TelemiracleStory.com was created to collect stories between now and Telemiracle 40 which will be held in Regina, March 5 and 6, 2016. Individuals can submit their story using several methods. The two most popular are the online submission form and video.
After the telethon in March, all stories will be transferred to Telemiracle’s main web portal, telemiracle.com.
The Kinsmen Foundation provides Saskatchewan people and organizations with special needs equipment and access to medical assistance. Through Telemiracle, recipients obtain such things as: mobility equipment; have costs for travel covered when they need to go to medical facilities; and equipment, for hospitals and health centres.
