Lake Alma (cpd) - Ken and Wanda Johnson accompanied by Elaine Roysum traveled to Weyburn on Apr. 14 where the ladies joined Avis Field, Mabel Larsen, Darlene LaFoy, Heather Stairmand, Evelyn Corbin, Delores Raknerude, Corine Pindus, Ida Offet, Jeanette Whitteron, Phyllis Weimer and Cathy Field and Eleanor Porth of Regina at the Town and Country Resturant for supper to help Darlene LaFoy and Cathy Field celebrate their birthdays which were in the month of April. A very enjoyable evening was spent visiting. Ken spent time with his daughter Joanne, Brian, and Jaxon.
Clare and Ida Offet spent from Apr. 18-20 in Regina with her sister Marie and Donald Jacobson. On the 19th, Clare had a medical appointment at the Pasqua Hospital. That evening Ida along with Suzanne Brown, Craig and Charmaine Offet and Courtney and a host of relatives and friends took in a fundraiser at The Four Seasons for the Grade 12 class of school who are going to Cuba after they graduate in June, of which Courtney Offet is a graduate. A fun time was held by all in attendance. 50/50 draws and other draws were also held throughout the evening. The Offets returned home to Weyburn Saturday afternoon.
Lance and Debbie Petersen and Tom and Linda Clausen traveled to Weyburn on Apr. 19 where they were joined by Trudy Koszman and they took in the Brad Johner and Sons concert which they said was very enjoyable.
Clare and Ida Offet took Duane and Delores Larsen to Regina on Apr. 24 where Delores had an appointment.
Everyone is waiting anxiously for the weather to warm up. Hopefully this weekend, but not too warm or the water will likely be running up hill.
Duane and Delores Larsen took medicine for the cattle down to Roy and Myrna Lohse's on Apr. 25 and they went to Canam Country Inn for supper before returning home to Weyburn.
