Local talent to compete at Rise to Fame

Three Weyburn performers will be competing at the "Saskatchewan Rise to Fame Talent Search", formerly known as the Saskatchewan Youth Talent Search. "Rise to Fame" will be featured at the Saskatoon Prairie Land Park from August 6 to 11.



Three Weyburn performers will be competing at the "Saskatchewan Rise to Fame Talent Search", formerly known as the Saskatchewan Youth Talent Search.

"Rise to Fame" will be featured at the Saskatoon Prairie Land Park from August 6 to 11. With the new name for the program, there is also updated rules and regulations and a larger cash prize for both the winners and runners-up in each age category.

According to the preliminary schedule for the competition, all three Weyburn performers are scheduled to compete on Saturday, Aug. 10.

Dane Von Hagen will compete in the senior vocal solo, Autumn Alexander competes in the junior dance solo, and both Brooke Alexander and Autumn Alexander will compete in the dance combo.

The "Rise to Fame" program is aimed at supporting and recognizing Saskatchewan's talented young performers. This competition will appeal to aspiring singers, dancers, musicians, and novelty acts.
Six senior and four junior contestants will be chosen for the final competition on Sunday, Aug. 11.
