The Lomond 4-H Beef Club held their monthly meeting at Oungre Park on December 5.
The meeting began with the 4-H pledge and the members and parents discussing the following new business: 1) Weigh day for our steers. 2) Weight guess for our steers. 3) Our Christmas party.
For old business, we talked about Agribition and how our members did. Our teams were as follows. Senior team: Kaylee Mckenzie, Kylie Hutt and Tyler Zackerisson. Junior team: Dylan Thackeray, Nolan Thackeray and Shelby Robinson.
Our teams didn't place in the top three, but we all learned a lot and enjoyed our day at Agribition.
In the Junior Extreme Show, Gelbvieh division, Nolan and Dylan Thackeray both got pulled out of their class. Nolan's heifer went on to win champion Gelbvieh. Way to go, Nolan!
