Friday, Jan. 13 was anything but an unlucky day for the Arcola Daycare's winners of trips and cash. The nonprofit facility held the third edition of their popular “Trip of the Month Lottery” and in a new format, announced all of 2017's winners during a social evening at the Arcola Legion.
The winners are as follows:
January: Huatulco, Mexico-Seven nights accommodation (all-inclusive Barcelo Resort) for two adults, valued at $4,000. Trip winner: Marsha McLean of Carlyle. $100 cash winner: Leta Brisebois of Redvers.
February: Halifax, N.S.-Nine-day tour (Wonders of the Maritimes and Scenic Cape Breton). Land-only package includes accommodations and meals for two adults, valued at $5,300. Trip winner: Dr. Morin of Arcola. $100 cash winner Krystal Lang of Arcola.
March: Las Vegas, Nevada-Four nights, air and accommodation (MGM Grand) for two adults, valued at $1,800. Trip winner: Jackie Peckover of Lampman. $100 cash winner: Nancy Matthewson of Carlyle.
April: Vancouver, B.C.-Five nights hotel, flights, admission to Vancouver Zoo and Aquarium for two adults and two children, valued at $3,500. Trip winner: Heather Saarela of Arcola. $100 cash winner: Chris Grief of Regina.
May: St. Anne, MB –Three days accommodation at the Lilac Resort, valued at $1,000. Trip winner Michelle Arndt of Redvers. $100 cash winner: Ken Proden of Carlyle.
June: Calgary, AB.-Four nights accommodation and three-day family pass to Calaway Park, valued at $1,500. Trip winner: Trent and Suzie Lang of Balcarres. $100 cash winner: Carrie Johnston of Arcola. .
July: Candle Lake, SK.-(Stay & Play). Two nights accommodations and one round of golf for two adults and two children, valued at $1,000. Trip winner: Dennis and Wendy Bartolf of Oxbow. $100 cash winner: Culley Hagenes of Rose Valley.
