The Saskatchewan Safety Council would like to see aging drivers increase their confidence behind the wheel and refresh their driving skills. Sponsored by SGI the the Mature Driver Refresher Course is a free, strictly informational course. The six hour course covers self-evaluation of current driving knowledge and habits, the aging process and how it affects driving, compensating for vision and hearing problems, adapting to hazardous road and weather conditions, understanding your vehicle, and safe driving when using medication. Participants can expect a positive and open class environment with instructor Lee Carlson who has been teaching for 12 years across several Saskatchewan communities. There are no examinations and your license will not be affected.

The MDR course is being held Tuesday, November 4 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Credit Union Centre located at 205 Coteau Avenue, Weyburn. The course has scheduled time for an hour lunch break.
