Mayor, councillor at Canadian embassy

Canadian embassy staff meet with Weyburn's Mayor Debra Button, and Toronto Coun. Pam McConnell, during the recent visit to Ukraine by the two elected officials to a conference hosted by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) for women politicians in Ukraine. This conference caps a five-year program by FCM, in which Button has been heavily involved, in trying to encourage more gender equality in Ukraine's political system. She is scheduled to go back on Nov. 11-12 to wrap up the program.
