Midale (cpd) - Midale's Fowl Supper has been scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 5. It will run from 4 until 7 p.m. The Fowl Supper is one of the fundraisers that help to provide needed upgrades and renovations for the rinks as well as keeping user fees at a minimum. The rink is in need of volunteers to bring some kind of a dessert. (Pie, cake, tarts, pastries, etc. are all accepted.)
The Rec Board cannot find enough volunteers to call people and ask if they are able to bring a dessert and there are a lot of people who are not in the phone book, so please try to remember to do this. Please call or text Catrina if you are able to help out with anything. The Rec Board has kept the prices the same as last year: adults are $12, students are $8 and children four and under eat free. The meal consists of turkey, dressing, veggies, potatoes, gravy, cranberries, buns, coleslaw, coffee or juice and dessert. Come out and enjoy a great meal provided by great volunteers and Midale's Catering Club who always donate their time and some of the supplies needed to pull off this supper.

The Midale Oilmen's Association donated the funds to provide Midale Central School with the A.R. reading program. The teachers and children find this resource very helpful and are very grateful for the donation.
Midale Harry O' Memorial Arena is hoping to be up and running by mid-October at the latest and you can inquire about renting ice by calling or texting the rink cell phone at or email
[email protected]. Rink rates this year are as follows: $105/hr plus GST if applicable for a one time or once in a while or $90/hr plus GST if applicable for those using times every week or on a frequent basis (blocks of six or more scheduled ice times).
The Midale Lions Club will be hosting their second annual Santa Parade on Saturday, Nov. 22. To enter the Santa Parade please contact Armond Hauglum or Linda Carlson.
The Midale Rec Board will be hosting its annual Midale Trade, Craft and Bake Sale on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Table cost $25 each and must be prepaid.

Donna O'Brien, Rick O'Brien, Darren, Catrina, Skyler and Ty Moldenhauer as well as Lawrence and Dahlila Moldenhauer all travelled to Medicine Hat to attend the wedding of Logan O'Brien and DeNae Meyers. Logan is the son of Rick and Lorilee O'Brien, grandson to Donna, nephew to David and Lawrence and Dahlila and cousin to Darren.
It was a great celebration.
