The community of Midale is preparing for some upcoming events.
The Souris Valley Antique Association (SVAA) is looking for volunteers for the August 4-5 Pioneer Echoes. If you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering, please contact any of the following members: president Glen McGregor at 306-891-5158, vice-president Ryan Swenson (306-458-7032) or Keegan Schindel (306-458-7127).
Secretary-treasurer Kathy Lokinger is looking for some help in the food booth. Please contact her if you can help her out.
They are also working on putting on a car show and another school reunion. The ice cream bus will be there again.
The SVAA has the sign board by the highway and it is available for sponsorship. If you would like to advertise your business there please contact any of the members for more information.
The SVAA is also moving an old building from Macoun to the Heritage Village sometime in the near future. More hats have been ordered and will be for sale soon as well as they are working on a calendar for 2019. They are also busy selling tickets for a tractor. They are taking the tractor around to different events to show it off before doing the draw.
The next meeting for the antique association will take place on July 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the museum. Everyone is welcome to attend. New members are always welcome.
The Midale Oilmen’s 25th annual golf tournament will be held on July 20 at Mainprize Regional Park Golf Course. Registration will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. A shotgun start is at 10:30 a.m. The entry fee is $125/person and it is a two-person best ball format. Your registration includes your round of golf, supper and your golf cart if needed.
