Midale (cpd) - The Midale Skating Club will be having their annual year-end Carnival on Sunday, March 17 at 2 p.m. The children are working extra hard right now as they have had many snow days this year.
Midale (cpd) - The Midale Skating Club will be having their annual year-end Carnival on Sunday, March 17 at 2 p.m. The children are working extra hard right now as they have had many snow days this year. Coach Kelsie Druck and her helpers, Shayna Prawdzik, Taysha Prawdzik and Kolten Ganson have been doing a fantastic job teaching the kids this year. There are almost 30 children in CanSkate this year. Access Communications is coming out to record the carnival again this year.Everyone is welcome to attend.
Everyone is invited to the Midale Baptist Church for a worship concert featuring Replica on Friday, Mar. 15. The concert will start at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
The Midale and Area's M.O.R.E. 2000 Auction will be held on Saturday, April 6. Supper will be at 6 p.m., with the auctions to start right after. This is the biggest fundraiser for the Midale Civic Centre that houses the curling rink and the hockey rink, Harry O' Memorial Arena.
The Midale and Area Rec Board holds this auction to raise money to help with the everyday operating costs and upkeep on the buildings. Letters have been sent out to ask businesses and individuals to donate items that can be used as silent auction items or live auction items. Any cash donations made will be used towards the purchase of the second Dutch auction package that is offered.

Tickets are available at TJ's Country Market, Midale Variety Store, Midale Town Office, Midale Conexus Credit Union, Tumbleweeds Restaurant, Midale Qwik Stop and Macoun Co-op. The Midale Mustangs hosted Arcola here on Mar. 5 and came out on top by a score of 5-2.

The Midale Mini Mustangs played their last game here at home on Mar. 9. They will be having their windup soon. They had a very successful season this year.
The Midale Novice Storm wrapped up their season here at home on Mar. 8 against Radville. They have struggled this season with only 10 kids on the team, but they have played hard and had fun.
They have all grown a lot as hockey players with getting so much ice time. They are thankful to the Mini Mustangs who were more than willing to come up and play with them when shorthanded due to illness. The Storm wound down their season as a team on Mar. 10 with a swimming party in Estevan.
Elementary badminton practices take place on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:15-4 p.m. They will have their windup on Mar. 28 with the parents playing the students. Athletes must wear goggles which the school can supply, but you may choose to purchase some for $10. Please bring your own racket if you have one. There are some at the school that can be used if needed.
Junior badminton practices are Tuesdays from 3:15-5:15 p.m. and on Thursdays from 4-6 p.m.
Senior badminton practices are held on Mondays from 4:15 to 6:15 p.m. and Wednesdays from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. All Junior and Senior athletes must supply their own racket and goggles. Again, goggles can be purchased from the school for $10. Goggles are mandatory for this sport.
Midale Central School report cards will be issued on Thursday, March 14 with a three-way conference scheduled after school and into the evening on the same day. These conferences provide an opportunity for teachers, parents and students to discuss individual student progress. It is also a good way for parents to connect with the school and your child's teacher. Elementary students will have a time posted in their agenda and high school conferences are on a come-and-go basis running from 3:15 to 8 p.m.
