A “Prayer for Humboldt” will be held in the foyer of Crescent Point Place on Monday, April 16, from 5 to 7 p.m., organized by the Weyburn Ministerial Association.
The pastors of the Weyburn Ministerial invites those who want to pray for people in Humboldt as well as in Weyburn, those who are immeasurably affected by this tragedy happened to Humboldt Broncos.
The prayers are also offered for those who have lost interest in sports, daily work or talking with other people because of depression caused by this tragedy, those who want to have peace and comfort through prayer and counseling, those who are struggling with meaning of life or of God, and feeling of hopelessness by this tragedy .
This is for people of all ages, including young adults (and sports players) who feel depression, anxiety, or desire for reckless consumption of alcohol, smoking, substance abuse or running away after this tragedy.
The pastors offer to pray together for Humboldt community, to pray together for Weyburn community, to help people use this grief process in more positive way, to help people get away from a deep sense of despair and depression, to help people in their searching for a meaning and purpose of life with Biblical themes, and to listen to people in the way of pastoral care.
All people are welcome to this gathering, whether they are Christian or not. They can just drop by any time between 5 and 7 p.m.
