A group of boys played a scrimmage game of hockey on the rink on Gordon Miles Place on Saturday afternoon, enjoying the mild weather. The rink was set up by area resident Ryan Birnie, with the assistance of many neighbours and local companies, after city council approved the rink in late October after hearing a number of concerns and how Birnie pledged to address those concerns. This rink is set up on a city park-playground area with boards and netting that will be take down again once spring arrives.
