No new cases of COVID-19 for Estevan’s zone and five recoveries

There are no new cases of COVID-19 to report in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to Saskatchewan’s daily COVID report released June 3. With five recoveries the number of active cases for Zone 4 dropped again and now stands at 38.

There are no new cases of COVID-19 to report in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to Saskatchewan’s daily COVID report released June 3.

With five recoveries the number of active cases for Zone 4 dropped again and now stands at 38.

There are 11 new case in the South East. Two cases is located s in South East Zone 1, which is northwest of Zone 4, and nine are in South East Zone 2, to the north of the corner.

There are 131 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on June 3, bringing the provincial total to 47,097 cases.  

Two new deaths are reported today in the 80+ age group, both from the North West zone.

The other new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West, 5; Far North East, 11; North West, 14; North Central, 7; North East, 7; Saskatoon, 34; Central West, 2; Central East, 3; Regina, 21; and South Central, 12.  Four new cases are pending residence information. 

Another 102 people have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 45,240. Five of the new recoveries are from the South East. 

There are 1,314 cases that are considered active, including 92 in the South East.

There are 100 people in hospital, total three down from the da before. Two people are hospitalized in the South East. Seventy-seven people are receiving inpatient care, two in the South East, and 23 are in an intensive care unit, one up from June 2.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 133 (10.9 per 100,000).

There were 2,287 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on June 2, including 115 from the South East.

As of June 2, 10,986 variants of concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, with 1,079 in the South East.

An additional 14,579 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 754,830.  Included in the total is 1,024 cases from the South East region.

Seventy-seven per cent of those over the age of 40 have received their first dose.  Seventy-two per cent of those 30+ have received their first dose.  Sixty-six per cent of those 18+ have received their first dose, while 63 per cent of those 12+ have also received their first dose.
