No new cases of COVID-19 in Estevan’s South East Zone 4

For the sixth straight day, there are no new cases of COVID-19 in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan. The daily COVID report for the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health shows there are three active cases in the South East region.

For the sixth straight day, there are no new cases of COVID-19 in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan.

The daily COVID report for the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health shows there are three active cases in the South East region. One is in south East Zone 3, which includes Weyburn, and two are in South East 2, to the north of Zone 4.

There is just one active COVID case in Zone 4.

There are 56 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on June 25, bringing the provincial total to 48,646 cases. 

The other new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West, 6; Far North Central, 2; Far North East, 2; North West, 3; North Central, 1; Saskatoon, 16; Central West, 2; Central East, 7; and Regina, 9. 

Five cases are pending residence information.

No new deaths are being reported.

Fifty-two more people have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 47,472.

One of those recoveries was in the South East region.

A total of 609 cases are considered active, including three in the South East.

There are 78 people in hospital. None of them are in the South East. It’s been more than a week since there was a COVID-19 hospitalization in the South East region.

Sixty-six people are receiving inpatient care and 12 are in intensive care.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 49 (4 per 100,000).

There were 1,812 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on June 24, including 160 in the South East.

An additional 20,988 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,069,657. The South East recorded 1,750 new doses.

Eighty per cent of those over the age of 40+ have received their first dose. Seventy-five per cent of those 30+ have received their first dose. Seventy one per cent of those 18+ have received their first dose, while 69 per cent of those 12+ have also received their first dose.
