Weyburn had no new COVID cases as of June 4, and there are now no active cases in the area, with 94 active cases in the southeast region. There are 89 new cases of COVID-19 to report across the province, bringing the provincial total to 47,186 cases.
The new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West, 4; Far North East, 13; Northwest, 9; North Central, 6; Northeast, 2; Saskatoon, 20; Central West, 1; Central East, 5; Regina, 12; South Central, 11; and Southeast, 5. One new case is pending residence information. Three cases have been assigned to the Far North West, 1; and Northwest, 2, zones.
No new deaths were reported for June 4.
Recoveries total 45,351, including 111 new recoveries, and 1,292 cases are considered active.
There are 101 people in hospital, and 80 people are receiving inpatient care: Far North West, 1; Northwest, 12; North Central, 6; Northeast, 1; Saskatoon, 28; Central West, 1; Central East, 3; Regina, 22; Southwest, 1; South Central, 2; and Southeast, 3. Twenty-one people are in intensive care, including two out-of-province transfers from Manitoba: North Central, 1; Saskatoon, 10; Central East, 2; Regina, 6; and Southwest, 2.
The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 129 (10.5 per 100,000).
There were 2,599 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on June 3, including 120 tests for the southeast region.
Vaccines Reported
An additional 15,633 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, including 1,185 doses in the southeast region, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 770,463.
Seventy-seven per cent of those over the age of 40 have received their first dose, 72 per cent of those 30+ have received their first dose, 67 per cent of those 18+ have received their first dose, while 64 per cent of those 12+ have also received their first dose.
Second Dose Booking Eligibility
All residents 12+ can receive their first dose. Second dose vaccinations are open to residents 65+ or anyone who received their first dose before March 22, 2021.
Individuals diagnosed with or being treated for cancer and those who have received solid organ transplants will receive a letter of eligibility in the mail that will allow them priority access to a second dose.
Saskatchewan is expecting to receive 12,400 doses of Moderna this week. All shipments were delivered on Thursday, with the exception of Weyburn's 900 doses, which were delivered later on Friday.
