The Weyburn and District Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual Farmer Appreciation Night on Tuesday, Nov. 1, and are now taking nominations for the Golden Sheaf Award.

"The Chamber has been presenting the Golden Sheaf Award to a producer who demonstrates excellence in agriculture, business and citizenship for over 15 years. We would encourage everyone to look around our community and pay tribute to someone who has achieved success in agriculture," said Twila Walkeden, Chamber president.

"The Chamber is confident in the strength of our agricultural business sector in Weyburn and area, and we're proud to have the opportunity to pay tribute to that industry," added Chamber manager Jeff Richards.

Golden Sheaf nomination forms can be picked up at the Chamber office, or downloaded from the Chamber website at www.weyburnchamber.com.

The Farmer Appreciation banquet will take place on Nov. 1 at McKenna Hall, starting at 6 p.m. The entertainment for the evening will be comedian Anders, and the event is sponsored by the Weyburn Inland Terminal.
