Number of active COVID-19 cases in Estevan’s South East Zone 4 remains at one

There is still just one active case of COVID-19 in Estevan’s South East Zone 4, according to the June 26 COVID report from the Saskatchewan Health Authority. There were no active cases in Zone 4 for the seventh straight day.

There is still just one active case of COVID-19 in Estevan’s South East Zone 4, according to the June 26 COVID report from the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

There were no active cases in Zone 4 for the seventh straight day.

Six new COVID-19 cases were reported in the South East region. One is in South East Zone 3, which includes Weyburn. Five are in Zone 1, to the northwest of Zone 4.

There are 61 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on June 26, bringing the provincial total to 48,706 cases. 

The other new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West, 10; Far North East, 1; North West, 12; North Central, 3; Saskatoon, 15; Central West, 3; Central East, 1; Regina, 7; and South Central, 2. One new case is pending residence information.

One new death was reported today in the 40 to 49 age group from the Regina zone. A total of 566 people with COVID-19 have died in Saskatchewan.

Seventy-one people have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 47,543. Three of the new recoveries are in the South East.

A total of 597 cases are considered active, including 37 in the South East.

There are 79 people in hospital. Sixty-nine are receiving inpatient care and 10 are in intensive care. It’s been more than a week since somebody has been in hospital in the South East.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 50

There were 1,905 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on June 24, including 171 in the South East.

An additional 23,323 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, including 2,128 in the South East, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,092,980.

Eighty per cent of those over the age of 40+ have received their first dose.  Seventy-five per cent of those 30+ have received their first dose.  Seventy one per cent of those 18+ have received their first dose, while seventy per cent of those 12+ have also received their first dose.
