Ogema new reservoir

Mayor Carol Peterson and Weyburn-Big Muddy MLA Dustin Duncan had a look at the new water reservoir currently under construction for the Town of Ogema, after doing a sod-turning ceremony on Friday afternoon. The $2 million project has funding from the federal and provincial governments, each providing $660,000, with the balance to be provided by the Town of Ogema. In addition to the new reservoir, which is replacing the water tower, a new reverse osmosis water treatment system is being installed which will help with the taste and quality of water in Ogema. For the story on the event, including a photo of the sod-turning, please see the Weyburn Review on Aug. 21, and the Weyburn This Week on Aug. 23.
