The runners for the junior boys and girls 3,000 metre race set off from the starting line during the southeast district track meet on Wednesday at the Weyburn Comp’s track field. Owen Hiltz of Weyburn placed second in this race. The athletes who placed first or second in their respective events will advance to the SHSAA provincial track championships in Saskatoon, to be held on Friday and Saturday, June 2 and 3.
