One person has been charged with alleged firearms offences following an investigation by the Estevan Police Service’s Intelligence Unit. A search warrant was executed at a residence located in south Estevan on Wednesday at about noon.

One person has been charged with alleged firearms offences following an investigation by the Estevan Police Service’s Intelligence Unit.

A search warrant was executed at a residence located in south Estevan on Wednesday at about noon. Firearms and ammunition were seized from the residence.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Kevin Levick of Estevan has been charged with possessing a firearm without a licence, unlawful storage of a firearm and failing to comply with a probation order. All charges are under the Criminal Code.

Levick was held in custody and appeared in front of a judge Friday in Estevan. He was released by the court on multiple conditions.

The matter is still under investigation and further details will be released once the investigation is completed.
