Pangman lab and X-rays are available to residents

Pangman (cpd) - Starting April 4, Pangman Health Centre has laboratory and X-ray service available on Monday mornings and Thursdays again. Thursday, April 11 there will be a Ladies' Night Out held at the school gym starting at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, April 11 there will be a Ladies' Night Out held at the school gym starting at 6:30 p.m. The Pangman Ambulance EMS personnel will be doing a demonstration using their special equipment.

Cost per ticket is $15. Many door prizes will be given out. The proceeds will be going towards the purchase of a new ambulance.

The Pangman School RespectED team has placed kindness buckets in the local businesses.

Community members are asked to write down random acts of kindness (or e-mail them to [email protected]). The team will complete the number of kindness ballots and present the results at 12:30 p.m. at the school gym on Pink Shirt Day, Wednesday, April 10 (International Day Against Bullying). Everyone is invited to the school for this special presentation. Residents are encouraged to wear pink on this day to support the program. Anti-bullying advocate and former Saskatchewan Roughrider, Luc Mulinder, will be there and the Canadian Red Cross Pink T-shirt Walk will top off the day. Most important is your participation.

Pangman Panther day will be held at the school on Friday, April 12.

The Pangman Dance Club motored to Ogema on March 23 to attend their competition meet.

The Pangman Dance Club will be holding their dance recital on Sunday, April 7 at the school gym starting at 2 p.m. There will be jazz, tap, lyric, ballet, and hip-hop. The cost is $2 and their teacher, Shelby Fink, is from Regina. There will be raffle tables and intermission will offer coffee, juices, and baking. Carnations will be available to buy. Everyone is welcome.

Snow and more snow has fallen in the Pangman area over the past week making driving very difficult.

Spring has sprung with the sighting of killdeers, crows, and gophers.

The Pangman Co-op will hold their annual meeting on Thursday, Apr. 4 at the school gym, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Matthew Kessler returned home on March 22 after spending three days in Saskatoon working with the Navy.

The Pangman Branch of the Credit Union held their annual Patronage Days on March 25 to 27, where customers were given coffee and homemade desserts.

On March 22, eight residents of the Sunny View Place played 10 frames and participated in their weekly Bean Bag tournament. Effie Devine place first with a score of 61 points, Doris Sambrook places second with a score of 53 points, and Ada Murray and Mary Martin tied for third with 50 points each. George David scored 37 points for the men.

On March 27, eight residents from Sunny View Place played 10 frames in their weekly bowling tournament. Gerry Taylor place first with a score of 98 points, Effie Devine place second with a score of 92 points, and Ada Murray places third with a score of 89 points. George David scored 85 points for the men.
