Police called about hit and run, dirt bike accident

Members of the Estevan Police Service have been called about a number of driving infractions in recent days. Police received a report of a vehicle failing to remain at the scene of an accident on Friday.

Members of the Estevan Police Service have been called about a number of driving infractions in recent days.

Police received a report of a vehicle failing to remain at the scene of an accident on Friday. A westbound vehicle struck a parked vehicle on Grundeen Crescent. The offending vehicle will have damage to the passenger side mirror. Police are asking for any assistance that can be provided, to call police or Crime Stoppers.

Officers attended to a fight at a local lounge on Sunday. Police arrested a Regina male and lodged him in cells. He will be charged under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act and given a court date in October.

Police attended to a report of a dirt bike accident in a ditch adjacent to a grid road just north of the city. The bike rider was transported to the hospital by Estevan EMS. The matter is still under investigation.

Members assisted an individual in obtaining their property from a former residence. Members attended to keep the peace and ensure that there were no problems at the residence.

A male was arrested and charged for possession of methamphetamine during a traffic stop in the south end of the city. He was released with a future court date.
