Weyburn Police Service received a complaint of an assault on August 17 after a 19-year-old female allegedly punched and kicked a 17-year-old female during an altercation. The victim did not report any injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
While stopping a vehicle for speeding on August 16, police found the driver, a 52-year-old male, to have a warrant for their arrest from Saskatoon. The male was arrested on the warrant and later released to appear in court in Saskatoon in September.
The Weyburn Police Service was called to a downtown bar in regard to a cause disturbance by fighting. Police found a group of males involved in an altercation on August 16. The individuals were separated and the situation calmed. One individual, a 33-year-old male, was arrested for being drunk in public and lodged in cells. He was later released when sober.
Weyburn Police Service received a report of a mischief to a vehicle that was parked in a downtown parking lot on August 15. The victim reported that during the night someone had let out the air in their vehicle's tires.
Police received a call from a local taxi who advising of an extremely intoxicated female in their cab on August 14. Police members were able to locate an address of a relative and transported the female leaving her in their care.
Police received a report of a fail to report an accident after a semi tractor-trailer unit struck the bridge at 3rd Street and Highway 39 causing damage to the railing on August 14. The semi unit then left the scene without reporting to police. The incident remains under investigation.
Police received a report of a mischief after the victim's vehicle, which had been parked in their driveway, had been entered. The contents of the glove compartment were dumped onto the seat though nothing appeared to have been stolen on August 13.
Members of the Weyburn Police Service were called to a local Hotel in regard to a group of males who were drunk and becoming disorderly on August 13. Police were able to calm the situation and the individuals left shortly after without further incident.
Police conducted a vehicle stop on August 13 and found the driver, a 21-year-old male, to be suspended from driving. As a result the male was charged with driving while suspended and a 120 day driving suspension was issued.
Police attended to a local resident to keep the peace after an argument ensued between the homeowner and a door to door sales person who would not leave on August 12. The parties were separated and the sales person went on their way.
On August 11, police found a 43-year-old male in breach of his release conditions. The male was arrested after a brief struggle and charged with three counts of Breach of a Recognizance and resist arrest. The male was held in custody and appeared in court on August 12.
