Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a fight at a local convenience store on February 2. Weyburn Police Services attended the store and upon arrival, the involved individual had vacated the store.
A local taxi complained to police in regards to an incident involving a female passenger on February 2. The taxi had driven the female to her destination and once there, she started yelling at the driver and ran from the cab without paying. Police do have a suspect and the investigation is ongoing.
Police responded to a domestic dispute on the east side of the city on January 31. As a result, the female resident of the apartment left to stay with other family for the night.
Police are following several leads in a theft of money from a wallet investigation which is ongoing.
After receiving a complaint of a dead dog outside a residence in the west side of Weyburn on January 30, police found a deceased dog in its dog house. Police investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
Four youth were directed by police to pick up garbage around the grandstands on January 30 after police received a complaint of these four youth throwing garbage from the top of the grandstands. The police warned the youth of their actions and took them home.
Police responded to an attempted break and enter to a local business on Railway Avenue on January 28. Police said an individual tried to force the door open causing damage to the door frame but was unsuccessful at gaining entry. The investigation is ongoing.
Restitution was paid to a local convenience store after police responded to a complaint of theft of fuel from the store on January 28.
Police received a complaint of a break and enter to an apartment in the north end of the city on January 29. There are no suspects at this time, and police continue to investigate.
While on routine patrol, police came arcoss two dogs at large in the south end of the city. The dogs had tags and were returned to their owner, with a warning given. Police would like to remind pet owners that if the animals are at large, they could be charged and if the animals attack a person or another animal, a much more serious charge could result.
