The managers and two employees of Weyburn's SARCAN depot are anxious to get into their new headquarters at 1800 Ebel Road, which will occur at the end of October, with the opening date in this new spacious building set tentatively for Monday, Nov. 3. From left to right are manager Cory Elmy, assistant manager Wanda Oliver, and recycling technicians Greg Procknow and Dennis Whitrow. The last day the current SARCAN depot on East Avenue will be open is Wednesday, Oct. 29; SARCAN will then be closed on Oct. 30-31 to complete the move-over to the new facilities before the doors open on Nov. 3. The new building will have three times the space of their current one, with room for five lineups instead of the current three. The new building includes room for the vocational training centre wood shop. The new Day Program building for the Wor-Kin Shop is currently under construction and will not be ready to open until the spring of 2015.
