RCMP find drowned man by Milestone

A man was found drowned in a cistern yesterday at a farm northwest of Milestone. At approximately 4:00 p.m. on Aug. 18, Milestone RCMP received a complaint of a possible drowning in the Rural Municipality of Bratt's Lake.

At approximately 4:00 p.m. on Aug. 18, Milestone RCMP received a complaint of a possible drowning in the Rural Municipality of Bratt's Lake.

Investigation revealed that a 56-year-old man accidentally drowned while performing maintenance to his farm cistern. The death is not considered to be suspicious in nature and the investigation is now being lead by the Provincial Coroner's Office and an autopsy has been ordered.

Family has requested that the name of the man not be released at this time.
Milestone RCMP were assisted by the Swift Current RCMP Police Dog Services, Milestone Fire Department, and Regina Fire Department.
