Update: Regina police locate 78-year-old man

The Regina police have now located the missing individual.

REGINA — Updated April 4 at 7 p.m.: Regina police have safely located Alvin Wigmore, the subject of a previous missing persons alert. Police thank the public for assistance.

April 4, 4:50 p.m.: The Regina Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 78-year-old man, who may be at risk due to his age.

Alvin Wigmore of Regina was last seen at a home on Heseltine Road on April 3, around 4 p.m. He is believed to have left the residence on foot and has not been seen since.

Wigmore is described as an elderly Caucasian man, who is balding. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, blue jeans and black shoes, and was carrying a bag.

Police said there is no current evidence Wigmore has come to harm, but he is considered at risk due to his age and health.

Anyone with information that could assist in locating Wigmore is asked to contact the RPS at 1-306-777-6500, your local law enforcement agency or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
