“Cookie”, a rescue dog, meets people visiting the “Dog Days of Summer” festival on Saturday at the City Centre Mall parking lot. Cookie was part of the booth for the Bright Eyes Dog Rescue, one of the pet rescue organizations represented at the day-long pet-friendly event, organized by Pet Valu. Booths included a barbecue, and information on pet wellness and training, along with a petting zoo with goats provided by the Therapeutic Animal Park.
