There are 244 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Feb. 13, bringing the provincial total to date to 26,389 cases.
Four Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. Two deaths were reported in the 70-79 age group from the Saskatoon zone, one death was reported in the 80+ age group from the Central East zone, and one death was reported in the 80+ age group from the North West zone.
There are five new cases in the South East region. One is in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan.
Three cases are in Zone 1, which is in the northwest corner of the region, and one case is in Zone 2, which is north of Zone 4.
There are 10 active cases in Zone 4, and 86 in the South East.
The other new cases for Saskatchewan are located in the Far North West (23), Far North Central (9), Far North East (6), North West (30), North Central (18), North East (8), Saskatoon (66), Central West (6), Central East (14), Regina (55), South West (1) and South Central (1) zones.
Two cases are pending resident information.
Another 190 people are listed as recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 24,085. Seven of the recoveries are from the South East region.
There are 1,950 active cases in Saskatchewan.
A total of 187 people are in hospital. One hundred and sixty-seven people are receiving inpatient care: Far North West (2), Far North East (2), North West (19), North Central (22), North East (3), Saskatoon (55), Central West (1), Central East (11), Regina (44), South West (1), and South East (7). The number of people in hospital is up four from Feb. 12.
Twenty people are in intensive care: North West (1), North Central (2), Saskatoon (8), Central East (2), and Regina (7).
There were 3,157 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on Feb. 12, including 208 in the South East.
To date, 541,244 COVID-19 tests have been processed in Saskatchewan. As of Feb. 11, when other provincial and national numbers were available, Saskatchewan's per capita rate was 455,740 tests performed per million population. The national rate was 602,103 tests performed per million population.
The seven-day average of daily new cases is 167 (13.7 new cases per 100,000 population) and is now available on the Government of Saskatchewan website.
There were 1,691 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered on Feb. 12 in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 48,566. With this, 104 per cent of the doses received have been administered to date. This overage is due to efficiencies in drawing extra doses from vials of vaccine received.
The Central East has reported an additional 32 doses and the South East has reported an additional 28 doses administered on Feb. 10. On Feb. 11, the Central East administered an additional seven doses, and the South East administered 20 additional doses.
The 1691 doses were administered in the following zones: Far North West (118), Far North Central (31), North East (450), North Central (1061), Central West (6) and Saskatoon (25).
