On April 16, at approximately 3 p.m., the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Roving Traffic Unit stopped a vehicle near Maidstone for a driver’s licence and vehicle registration check.
During the stop, the officer made several observations. An investigation resulted in the driver, the singular occupant of the vehicle, being arrested under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
After an examination of the vehicle was conducted, 1,105 grams of cocaine were discovered and seized.
Darin Math, a 33-year-old Edmontonian, has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking contrary to Sec. 5(2) of the CDSA.
Math is scheduled to make his next court appearance in Lloydminster Provincial Court on July 14, 2020, at 10 a.m.
