The Southeast Cornerstone Public School Division and the Holy Family Roman Catholic Separate School Division held Service award celebrations for their staff.
Holy Family held their awards celebration in Weyburn at McKenna Hall on May 12. Staff from Estevan, Weyburn, Radville and Wilcox were recognized for 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years of service. Also recognized was Holy Family’s lone retiree, Darryl Postnikoff.
From the Weyburn area, Megan Vanstone of Weyburn received a 10-year award, Sherrill Verhest of Radville received a 15-year award, Chad Fingler from Weyburn received a 20-year award, Jocelyn Olson from Radville received a 20-year award and Lisa Fisher from Radville received a 25-year award. Board member Teresa Van de Sype, from Radville, received a 15-year service award.
The Cornerstone awards celebration for the west area schools was held on May 5. Receiving 25-year awards were Kim Haupstein, Wade Oberg and Doug Probe, all from Weyburn. Patricia Reed of Weyburn received a 30-year award. Cathy Webb, the principal of CyberStone online school, received a 35-year award. Retirees from Cornerstone included Cathy Webb, Nancy Smoliak, Jayne Hunter and Larry Ursu, all of Weyburn; Maris Stewart from Ogema; Sandi Klatt, coordinator of Early Learning from the division office and Peggy Lawson, coordinator of Instructional Technology from the division office.
