Weyburn area farmer Jeff Gaab and his son Blair stand atop a high snow drift that has snowed in their large seed drill parked on their farm located south of Weyburn. Gaab admits he's worried that there's still this much snow covering everything, with a blanket of 18 inches to two feet on his fields; if the snow starts melting now, it will still be well into May before the ground has dried out enough to allow them to get on it for seeding operations. He noted he had begun seeding by last year at this time, although acknowledged he was able to start a bit early last year.
