Still one active case of COVID-19 in Estevan area, only 17 new cases province-wide

For the ninth straight day, there are no new cases of COVID-19 in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to the June 28 report from the Ministry of Health. The number of active cases for South East Zone 4 remains at one.

For the ninth straight day, there are no new cases of COVID-19 in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to the June 28 report from the Ministry of Health.

The number of active cases for South East Zone 4 remains at one.

There are three new cases in the South East region, all in in Zone 1, which is northwest of Zone 4.

There are 17 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on June 28, bringing the provincial total to 48,771 cases. 

The other new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West, 2; Far North East, 1; North West, 1; North Central, 1; Saskatoon, 3; Central East, 1; and Regina, 4. One new case is pending residence information.  Three cases pending residence have been assigned to the Far North East, 1; and North West, 2, zones.

No new deaths were reported today.

Another 98 people have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 47,737. Four of the new recoveries are from the South East region.

A total of 468 cases are considered active, including 34 in the South East.

There are 76 people in hospital in Saskatchewan, with 63 receiving inpatient care and 13 in intensive care. Nobody is currently in hospital in the South East.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 43.

There were 976 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on June 26, including 93 in the South East.

An additional 12,395 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, including 242 in the South East, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,127,683.

Eighty per cent of those over the age of 40+ have received their first dose. Seventy-five per cent of those 30+ have received their first dose.  Seventy one per cent of those 18+ have received their first dose, while seventy per cent of those 12+ have also received their first dose.
