Stoughton (cpd) - The Stoughton Agricultural Society had their annual fall show on Aug. 14 in the Memorial Hall.
Various categories displayed floral bouquets, fresh garden vegetables, preserved and canned items, threshed grains, photography displays andthere wasalso a junior category for ages six-to-nine and 10-14 year olds.
In the Bernardin category the winners were first place: Lorraine Stocker for her jam and jelly and craft item. She also tied first place with Val Goudy for the Bernardin basket.
The ticket draw winners were: Peter Piper for the Red Coat Chrysler detailing certificate worth $300. Albert DePape won a $100 gift certificate from Great Plains Ford and Miles and Denise Balon won a golf shirt donated by Western Financial Group.
The Stoughton Agriculture Society is over 100 years old and is currently comprised ofa small group of 10 very dedicated individuals. More members are needed and anyone can join. Contact Inga Hill for more info.
Stoughton Early Learning Facility, better known as the Day Care, opened its doors on June 16. The executive director is Sarah Mahy (who is a school teacher). The other staff include Brenda Sheepskin, assistant director; Samantha Belanger, an ECE; Sasha Delorme, an ECE; and Crystal Robert, also an ECE (early childhood educator). The current enrollment is 10.

A grand openeing will be held this fall.
