Chris Hamel takes a pie in the face while fellow victims Evan Burdan and John Smith are also pied during a meeting of the Church of Christ youth group on Friday evening. The pie-throwing event was the culmination of a fundraising effort to benefit Souris School’s nutrition program, and with the funds raised matched by the church, a grand total of $3,572 was raised for the program. As a reward for their efforts, the youth were able to put a pie in the face of one of their leaders for every $50 raised, with a total of 27 pies smushed into the face of the three men.
