Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of October 10 to16:
During this reporting period police dealt with 123 calls for service. Many of the calls were alcohol related. Several driving complaints were also received.
*Residents are again reminded about a telephone scam where the caller purports him or herself to be a representative of Microsoft, asking for information about the victim's home computer and banking information to help pay for virus removal.
*On October 16, police were called to a disturbance at a local bar. The matter was resolved.
*Police attended several noise complaints. All matters were resolved.
*Police were called to a domestic dispute. The matter was resolved without incident.
*Police were called regarding an intoxicated male in the backyard of a residence. He was arrested and lodged in cells to sober.
*On October 15, after a traffic stop police charged a local male with driving while disqualified, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and misusing a license plate.
*Police attended two minor motor vehicle accidents. No injuries were reported.
*Police received a complaint regarding a threat made by phone. The matter is under investigation.
*On October 14, police were called to a disturbance at a local bar. The matter was resolved without incident.
*Police were called to a local hotel regarding a dispute with a customer. The matter was resolved.
*On October 13, police were called to investigate a theft of a black and orange dirt bike. The matter is under investigation.
*Police were called to investigate a possible counterfeit 100 dollar bill. The matter is under investigation.
*On October 12, police were called to assist the Weyburn Fire Department at a house fire. No injuries were reported.
*Police were called to a domestic dispute in the city. One of the parties involved was arrested for being intoxicated. The matter was resolved.
*On October 11, while on patrol and after noticing a vehicle that appeared to be driving erratically, police arrested a local male and charged him for driving while over .08.
*Police were called to help locate a missing young person. The youth was located later in Estevan.
*Police were called to investigate a complaint of a young person pointing a bb gun at another young person. The matter is under investigation.
*Police were called to assist EMS with an intoxicated male. The matter was resolved without incident.
*On October 10, police were called to attend a break and enter to a garden shed. Some cookware and CDs were stolen. The matter is under investigation.
*The Weyburn Police Service is asking the public's assistance regarding to two cases of motorcycles being stolen in the city: A green 2010 Kawasaki Sports Ninja 250 cc motorcycle was stolen from a residence on King Street. It was later located at a residence on Ash Drive. The ignition had been tampered with. A black and orange 2004 KTM 125 FX dirt bike was stolen from a vehicle.
