Carlyle Town Council held their regular meeting Thursday, March 1 at the Carlyle Civic Centre. Council's next regularly-scheduled meeting will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 15 at the Civic Centre.
Tax Assessment Values
The total worth of residential and business properties in the Town of Carlyle has increased from $145,398,985 in 2016 to $188,677,680 in 2017. Town Council is currently working to achieve an equitable weighting between business and residential properties regarding the shift in assessment values.
Airport
The Airport Commission is applying for funding to cover the cost of painting the lines and numbers on the runway.
Land Purchase Funding
Council passed Bylaw 2017-04 which will allow the town to borrow $700,000 by way of debenture. These funds will be used to purchase land.
New Administrator
Natalie Miller will replace retiring Town of Carlyle Administrator, Huguette Lutz. Miller will take up her new position May 1, 2017.
