There are 227 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on May 14, including 26 in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan.
The number of new daily cases is the highest for Zone 4 since the start of the pandemic. The number of active cases for Zone 4 sits at 157, also the most during the pandemic.
There were five new cases in South East Zone 3, which includes Weyburn, one new case in Zone 2, which is north of Zone 4, and four in Zone 1, which is northwest of Zone 4.
There have been 44,159 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in Saskatchewan.
There are two new deaths reported. One death from the South Central zone, in the 40-49 age group, and one death from the Saskatoon zone, in the 70-79 age group. A total of 515 people with COVID-19 have died in Saskatchewan.
The other new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West, 2; Far North Central, 1; Far North East, 1; North West, 18; North Central, 17; North East, 7; Saskatoon, 50; Central West, 5; Central East, 10; Regina, 41; South West, 15; and South Central, 20. Four new case are pending residence information.
Another 188 people have recovered, bringing the provincial total to 2,187. Eight of those recoveries are in the South East, with three in Zone 4.
There are 2,075 cases considered active, including 224 in the South East.
A total of 149 people are in hospital. One hundred and fifteen people are receiving inpatient care, including three in the South East, down one from May 13. Thirty-four people are in intensive care.

There were 4,085 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on May 13, including 278 from the South East.
An additional 7,930 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 553,389.
Of the 7,930 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported732 were in the South East.
Seventy-three per cent of those over the age of 40 have received their first dose. Sixty-three per cent of those 30+ have received their first dose. Fifty-four per cent of those 18+ have received their first dose.
