Two residents from the north central region who tested positive for COVID-19 have died, according to Sunday’s daily report. One individual was in their 20s and one was in the 80-plus age group.
This brings the total number of deaths in the province to 31.
There are 181 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Nov. 15, 2020, bringing the provincial total to date to 5,001 cases.
Eighteen of the new cases are from the southeast region. One of the cases is from Southeast Zone 4, which includes Estevan. One case is from Zone 2, which is to the north of Zone 4, and the other 16 are from Zone 1, to the northwest of Zone 4.
There are 74 active cases in the southeast; 11 of them are from Zone 4. Fifty-five are from Zone 1.
A total of 123 cases have been diagnosed in the southeast since mid-March.
As for the rest of the province, nine new cases are from the far northwest, seven are from the far northeast, 16 are from the northwest, nine are from the north central, six are from the northeast, 64 are from the Saskatoon region, two are from the central west, one is from the central east, 28 are from the Regina area, one is from the southwest and 10 are from the south central.
Ten new cases have pending residence information.
Of the 5,001 reported cases, 1,807, or about 36.1 per cent, are considered active. Sixty-three more people have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 3,163 people, or 63.2 per cent.
Sixty-two people are in hospital. Forty-six people are receiving inpatient care; one in the far northwest, one in the far northeast, three in the northwest, four in north central, three in the northeast, 25 in Saskatoon, two in Regina, two in the southwest, one in southcentral and four in the southeast.
Sixteen people are in intensive care; one in the northwest, three in north central, seven in Saskatoon, two in central east and three in Regina.
A total of 2,967 COVID-19 tests were processed in Saskatchewan on Saturday.
