Update: The Saskatchewan RCMP Underwater Recovery Team has located the body of the 25-year-old man who went missing on Grant Devine Lake (formerly known as Alameda Dam).

The remains were found at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. The RCMP made the announcement a couple of hours later.

His family and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service have been notified.

The Carnduff RCMP would like to thank the Oxbow Fire Department for their assistance.

Earlier on Sunday, the Carnduff RCMP announced that it, along with the Saskatchewan RCMP Underwater Recovery Team (URT), were in the vicinity of the Grant Devine Lake (formerly Alameda Dam), due to the report of the missing man.

At the end of the afternoon on Dec. 24, the 25-year-old man told his family he was planning to go ice fishing on his red Artic Cat 700 ATV. He has not been heard from since.

During the night of Dec. 24-25, Carnduff RCMP organized a search for the man and alerted neighbouring partners. An ATV of the same model was discovered by the Oxbow Fire Department under the ice north of the lake.
