One person suffered injuries in a rollover on Highway 47 on Friday morning.

Shortly after 8 a.m., members of the Fillmore-Weyburn RCMP, along with assisting traffic services units, the Stoughton Fire Department and EMS, were called to the rollover, which occurred about 12 kilometres south of Stoughton. The incident involved a semi-truck hauling black sand.

The driver of the semi-truck, a 22-year-old man from Benson, was airlifted to hospital by the STARS Air Ambulance.

Highway 47 was blocked for several hours, but traffic is now moving normally.

No hazardous materials were spilled and the cause of the accident is still under investigation. Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
